Unfortunately after waiting 9 months for this back ordered lamp I was disappointed when it finally arrived. The round metal disc at the top of the lamp is not centered so the shade doesn't sit straight. The little knob on the very top wasn't threaded right so I had to switch it out with one of my other lamps to get one that worked. I love the look of the lamp and waited a long time to finallly get it so I wasn't about to send it back. I just made it work in the room I have it in. So much of the time when I order things from Sundance I do so because their unique and special but I do have to say most of the time once I get them I feel they are over priced. Sometimes I send them back and sometimes I keep what I order. I'll keep trying with the hope there's that one special thing I was looking for.....

I bought one of these cute little lamps years ago and was happy to see it back. Although they kept backordering it, I finally received it after months of waiting. They are one of a kind. I have this lamp in my office as an accent lamp in front of a window where I have a huge Tiffany stained glass butterfly hanging. They look great together! This is a very small lamp but I can't think of a room or little nook you couldn't use it in. The colors are beautiful. You know I must love it if I purchased a second one!

This little lamp is adorable! The colors appear to be a bit more vibrant in the picture than in person but I still love it. The craftsmanship is top notch and it is well worth the price.

Because of quality control issues, I waited 3-1/2 months for the lamp. Once it was in hand, I understood Sundance's wariness about product quality. While the lamp is gorgeous and works well, one of the 'bubbles' in my lamp's shade had a hairline crack. The overall quality of the lamp is more craft than art, and more offbeat than refined. Because I'd waited so long and feared I'd not get a replacement, I decided to live with the crack and didn't return it for exchange. The lamp doesn't come with a bulb, but I've enjoyed experimenting with different wattages and bulb textures, each of which creates differently beautiful effects. All told, it's a likable lamp!

Due to my FPO address, I just received this lamp 2 weeks ago. It was pretty much sent around the world by the military postal service. So that is why I'm writing so late.
I was really excited to receive this lamp and quickly assembled it, but to my dismay, there was no bulb included. I'm not cheap, I have no problem buying one, but the lamp requires a special "B" bulb - whatever that is. Of course where I live these bulbs don't exist. So here I am waiting to fly back to the States to buy this "B" bulb. I think it would have been nice if one of these special type bulbs could have been included.

I love the lamp. There is an issue that does need to be addressed. The lamp shade fits on top of a nut that is attached to the lamp. I bought 2 lamps one fit after getting it positioned just right, it took some doing to get it right. The other will not go down far enough for the top screw to attach to the nut. There should be a screw that comes from the lamp up through the shade for the piece that holds the shade on to screw onto. I am not sending the lamp back but will have to go to the hardware store and get something to make the adjustment so the shade will on the lamp. I have not had the time to do this yet so the lampshade is still in the box. I do love the lamp but this adjustment would make it much easier to put together.
I have admired this lamp ever since it first came out in 1999 and was ecstatic when it was available again as I had not ordered one when it was originally sold.

i loved the lamp. my friend had wanted one ever since she saw it in another friends house about 5 years ago. so i was ecstatic to find it in your catalog that my roommate had.
However i was really let down when i found out it was gonna be on back order...not one month...not two months...but 6 months )o;
good things come to those who wait and she absolutely loves it. but i was bummed that it ended up being more of a christmas present than birthday.
i am forever thankful she has this lamp.

When I took the little lamp out of the box my kids, let out a sound of delight! Looking at all the round colors! WOW Really love it. Makes us smile just looking at it. And it doesn't have to be turned on to be great. When you do,the shape of light that dance on the wall, very nice.

I have to say this lamp is beautiful. I truly have to say I would recommend it minus the problems I had.
I ordered this lamp. It was on back order. No problem. I waited. It came before the back order date. I was excited. Then disappointed when I opened the lamp to find one of the glass circles was cracked. I called customer service, very nice lady. She reordered another for me, because I simply had to have this lamp. She would contact the shipping company and they would come and pick it up. Excellent service.
I reordered this lamp a second time. This time on back order till September 2011. I really truly wanted this lamp. It arrived about a week later (June) WOW! I thought what great service.
I opened the box, removed the lamp, assembled it only to find that the cord was defective and damaged. Go figure. I was extremely upset. I called customer service again. This time a different lady, once again extremely great service. She called the shipping company to come and pick up this lamp. Needless to say, I have not reordered the lamp. I couldn't be disappointed a third time.
If you order this lamp, I certainly hope you have much better luck than I did. It is a very popular lamp.
The Sundance customer service ladies that I dealt with were extremely wonderful and helpful, even after I was irate with the second lady.

While the lamp may be cute in a child's room, don't let the name fool you. This little lamp sits on my kitchen snack bar and sheds it's happy, lighthearted glow from dusk until dark. It's glow is soothing and restful, yet bright and colorful.

This is very small, picture seems a little bigger. Stem is not all that nice and just seems overpriced, wouldn't recommend it even though it seems like it could be great in the picture.

I purchased this lamp approx 9-10 yrs ago. It is the most asked about item in my home...."where did you find that lamp"? I have had it in 3 different homes (three different states) with it becoming my favorite item. I use it in my kitchen so I can look at it all the time. Just purchased two more to give to my children as they begin their own lives and homes. VERY inexpensive for what you get!

This lamp is prettier in person than in the catalog or online! I just got it and LOVE it! The base is a little dull, but the colorful glass makes up for it and it reflects these star-like images on the wall. It really is a work of art and worth the money. Once you get it, you will appreciate the money you spent on this beautiful lamp! Plus, you will have it forever. Treat yourself, you won't be sorry!
