First manufactured in the mid-20th century, these varnished steel chairs were designed to withstand the wear-and-tear of bistro, bar and brasserie patrons while remaining ever-recherché. So we have no doubt they will weather many a holiday and household event with typical panache. Still handcrafted—with more than 100 steps to the process—in the Burgundy atelier where they originated. Comfortable and dramatic indoors; add a coat of lacquer for outdoor use. Made in France by Tolix™. 17-3/4"W x 18"D x 33-1/2"H. Additional shipping $20 each.

I LOVE these chairs!!!! I have owned these for 4 months now and only love them more and more each day. With four children they are so easy to clean and so durable, these chairs will last this family a long, long time. These chairs are also very comfortable as is. I thought they would need a cushion for comfort or to help warm them up but they don't, they are perfect as is. And last but not least, is their simple beauty. These chairs are beautiful and I have received so many compliments on them, I really can't say enough about them.

We recently bought 6 of these chairs for our dining room. We love the contemporary look these chairs bring, blended with the traditional wood (maple) pedestal table and dining furnture, to create an ecclectic feel. The stainless/metal look also flows from our kitchen into the open dining area; yet these metal chairs do not eclipse. The chairs are very comfortable and sturdy; with no maintenance, unlike wood. The chairs arrived within 3 days, all the way up to Canada!
Bottom line: We love the chairs, however we want to highlight the purchase experience. Thanks to Barbara from Sundance for her exception customer service and facilitation skills.

I really liked the look of the 1956 Arm Chair better with my rustic round table, but when I saw the dimensions on that chair I noted that it wouldn't even come up as high as the table top, so I ordered these instead. Still, they are really quite small, almost child-sized! For me, that says a lot since I am only 5'3", 105 lbs. I am keeping them anyway (too much trouble to ship back), because the look fo the steel chair is great with a rustic wooden table. I just wish they were larger, especially for the money. $150 each would have been enough to pay for them!

Had looked at these for months. Loved the casual, rustic look of them and was pretty sure they would look great with my wooden dining table. Also liked that they were stackable. Initially reluctant to purchase unseen and felt expensive for material used. However, could not find anything else I preferred. Arrived within 2 days of ordering - just in time for guests! - Amazing!! Sit surprisingly well. Love the look, color and quality/sturdiness. Can see will last. Would give a 5 but Children found seats a little hard, readily resolved with the use of 18" cushions.

I love these chairs! I bought two after sitting in one at a restaurant. I have a round table with an L-shaped bench so they are perfect. They are on the smaller-side, but so comfortable.

This chair is nice looking but quite petite. Be sure to consider the overall size of the chair and seat size in comparison to your table. They are great for a small bistro table. We found them too small for our dining room table. The rubber feet are nice as well.

These chairs are sturdy, stylish, sized right for my antique pub table, and rugged enough to stand up to daily use by my 6 and 4 year olds. They wipe clean easily with a sponge. I also like the rubber feet which will prevent scrapes on my wood floor. I mixed them with 2 wicker wing chairs from Pottery Barn...I love the overall look....casual but stylish. If I get tired of them at some point, I also like the idea that I can treat them and then UAE them as outdoor chairs.
On another note...they arrived at my door 3 days after I ordered them!!

We spent many years looking for a good looking chair that could hold up to extreme everyday use by a family with nine kids! This one looks great, feels great and wears like iron. I dont think we will ever have to buy kitchen chairs again!!!

These chairs give my kitchen the modern touch it needed! They are surprisingly very comfortable for adults & my children (5yr & 3yrs), they don't scratch my wood floor like other chairs do, the are solid but not too heavy, and the price is right. They are almost identical to the chairs at Design within Reach.

Thanks to some thorough reviews, I took the plunge and bought eight of these for my dining room table. It was a great choice! Not only do they look great, they're super sturdy and tip-free. The rubber feet are a great plus, too. My whole family loves them. Although they were backordered, they arrived a couple of weeks earlier than I expected, which was a nice surprise. I would definitely recommend these chairs.

I'd had my eye on these chairs for some time, but was reluctant to purchase based upon esthetic appeal alone. I was concerned that they may be uncomfortable. However, reviewers had since posted that they had found the chairs comfortable, so I took a chance and ordered them for my kitchen. I agree that they are comfortable and they look fabulous. I am very happy with this purchase.
